The Moanalua Pack 9 Cub Scouts is still taking applications for boys grades 1-3 who are interested in joining Cub Scouts! Pack 9 is a family oriented Pack that meets on Friday nights at the Moanalua Elementary cafeteria from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
Scouting teaches respect, citizenship, honor, sportsmanship and confidence through our scouting activities and good turn events. Last year our scouts participated in a Summer Day camp where they learned various skills including how to shoot a bow and arrow. Did their annual good turn at Punchbowl to honor our Veterans, wrote Christmas Cards for “Holiday Mail for Heroes”, helped the Moanalua Valley Association with their annual picnic, and Christmas Parade and they also got to compete in our annual Pinewood Derby, Rainguttter Regatta and go Box Car racing!
If you would like to be part of our scouting family, call Todd Ajimura – Cub Master at 551-7327.

Na Koa Girls Softball Club is looking for 5-6 Moanalua Elementary girls 8 years old or younger to complete our first 8 and under team (8U) and 3-4 Moanalua Elementary girls 10 years old or younger for our 10 and under team.
Na Koa Softball Club was started 4 years ago to provide a softball team for girls in the Moanalua area so they wouldn’t have to travel out of district.
Currently, Na Koa Girls Softball Club has one 8U team, one 10U team, one 12U team and two 14U teams. Na Koa is the first feeder program to Moanalua High School in over 20 years.
Our older teams compete in the State Tournament, Paradise Invitationals, have traveled to Maui twice for their tournaments and have recently traveled to Las Vegas to compete.
If you have a girl who would like to try our 8U entry-level softball bracket or our 10U team, please contact Keoni Kahoano at (808) 630-7352 by 01/20/2010.
