The Valentines Day Wish List for Teachers and Staff has been posted!

If you would like to check out what your favorite teachers or staffers might need, please check out the wishlist at www.moanaluapto.org/wishlist.

If you don’t find that special person’s name on the list, we also have some items that teachers and staff can always use.

After you have filled anything from the wish list, please send an email to wishlist@moanaluapto.org so the list can be updated with “Wishes Filled”. You can check the wish list (updated daily) at the PTO website through February 14, Valentine’s Day.

The MES student council would like to announce the following upcoming events. Please show your support – we’re striving for 100% participation!

Monday, February 6  to Tuesday, February 7 – HI5 Recycling Drive from 7:15 to 7:55 in MES parking lot. We are collecting aluminum cans & plastic (#1 & #2) containers, size 68 oz or less – items should be marked with the HI 5¢ deposit label.

Thursday, February 16 to Thursday, March 8 – Pennies for Patients Coin Drive (for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)  Please consider donating your extra coins to this worthy cause.

Monday, February 22 to Friday, March 2 – School Spirit Week
Monday:  Stripes Day
Tuesday:  Vacation Day
Wednesday:  Beach Day
Thursday:  Red, White, and Blue Day
Friday:  Aloha Friday

Mustang: 9 & 10 year olds
Bronco: 11, 12 & 13 year olds (13 year olds must play in outfield on defense)

Valentine’s Day is around the corner!  If you are thinking of getting something for your child’s teacher or the staff at Moanalua Elementary, would you like to consider some of the items that are on their classroom or school wish lists?

Some of the things that might be requested are color ink cartridges (specific to the teacher’s printer), board games or Uno cards that kids can play indoors during rainy day recesses, white board markers, and other office supplies.

The MES 4th Graders will be selling delicious Ani’s Sweet Bread loaves (1 pound size) as a FUNdraiser for their upcoming Big Island trip.

  • This is a popular, “ono-licious” local sweet bread, loaf style (Regular Sweet Bread)
  • Price: $5 per loaf
  • To order your sweet bread, please turn in the order form to Bonnie Hamilton in Room B10 by Friday, December 9th (with cash payment) (please click here for copy of a form).
  • Sweet Bread available for pick up on Wednesday, December 14th at Room B10, during these times: 7:00-7:45 am, 11:30-12:00pm, 1:30-4:00pm
