MOANALUA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
March 25, 2010
CALL TO ORDER: Treasurer Robb Taone called the meeting to order at 5:50 p.m. in the MES cafeteria.
VOTING MEMBERS PRESENT: A quorum of 36 members was present.
MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: The Minutes of the August 12, 2009 meeting was distributed and approved.
TREASURER'S REPORT: R. Taone reported that the PTO has $43,600 in its account. The PTO hoped to raise $98,000 but raised $84,870. The PTO’s expected revenue fell short by $13,700. The Board budgeted $134,000 to spend but only spent $82,000 because it is fiscally responsible. The PTO has $52,000 under the expense portion of the budget. Most classes
will be spending a little more but this should be alright because the PTO is being fiscally responsible. Also, the PTO is projected to spend an additional $38,000 and has $46,000 in its account. There will be $8,000 left over.
NOMINATIONS: Nominations are being accepted for the 2010-2011 MESPTO Board of Directors. Nominations can be made at moanaluapto.org. and also during the next general membership meeting which will take place at the Starlight concert.
ADJOURNMENT: The next meeting of the PTO General Membership meeting will take place at the Starlight concert. Treasurer R. Taone adjourned the meeting at 5:54 p.m.
