It’s time for Moanalua Elementary’s annual HI5 Recycling Drive. It is our opportunity to help raise awareness about the importance of recycling, while raising monies for our Student Activities funds.

Dates: Tues, November 29, to Thurs, December 1, 2011
Time: 7:00 a.m. to 7:55 a.m.
Place: in front of P6 and P7

We know that many of our families recycle their beverage containers on their own. Our Student Council would be so grateful if you would be able to donate a beverage can or container to our recycling drive.

Items that can be collected are:

  • aluminum cans marked with the HI 5¢ deposit label
  • plastic (#1 and #2) containers, size 68 oz. or less, marked with the HI 5¢ deposit label

We will be awarding one upper-grade and one lower grade class with the highest percentage of participants with a Popsicle Party and a certificate.

To minimize the amount of ants and roaches, will you help us by rinsing beverage containers before bringing to school? It will be greatly appreciated!
